Students with Psychological Disabilities: Risk Management and Legal Liabilities

A higher number of students utilizing campus counseling services. More severe psychological distress among students. Higher rates of psychotropic medication use by students. All of these conditions considered together implore campus leaders to protect and prepare their campus for possible emergencies.
Using many examples, this webcast will discuss how campus administrators and student wellness staffers can be proactive in modifying policies and procedures to make their campus better prepared while remaining compliant with the ADA and other federal and state laws. In addition, participants will receive handouts with suggestions for how to effectively develop internal policies and website resources concerning these topics.
