Description
Despite their massive potential, geospatial information systems tend to generally be under utilised in the region. This is mainly because of the sheer complexity and volume of the data and the lack of trained professionals needed to operate them. Furthermore, not all data captured is effectively utilised into the system, which could tremendously increase its purpose and usability. GIS systems provide tremendous opportunity for greater capabilities if these key issues are properly addressed.
This is what our brand new GIS for National Security, Defence & Emergency Management conference will address by building on the key findings from our highly sucessful Geospatial Intelligence Middle East Conference in Bahrain. The programme will look into how geospatial intelligence is used by the defense, emergency management and civil defense sectors to safeguard national security. Key regional and international speakers will share their ideas and knowledge on how to realise the full potential of GIS and also cover the latest technologies and development in geospatial systems.
