The 4th International Cancer Control Congress scheduled to be held at the National Cancer Center, Seoul, Republic of Korea November 3-5th, 2011 aims to provide a forum for countries with various levels of resources to learn from one another while recognizing that prevailing circumstances related to economics, culture and geography will necessitate tailored approaches to strategies, practices and resources. The purpose of the 4th ICCC is to build on prior ICCCâ€™s and provide an opportunity for a broad constituency of global stakeholders to convene with colleagues from South-East Asia, Western Pacific Region to work together, share experiences and learn from one another regarding optimizing cancer control based practices.
Objectives of the congress include to reinforce and strengthen existing global and Asia-Pacific networks to promote action to enhance cancer control; enable continuous development of regional and global communities of practice; provide opportunity for exploring health system integration, population based cancer control, intersectoral alignment etcetra; promote approaches in key areas of interest including primordial prevention, primary prevention etc.
