The 14th International Bangkok Symposium on HIV Medicine aims to provide updated information on HIV treatment and research for physicians and allied health professionals. An expert faculty of speakers from Thailand, the Asian region, the United States, Europe and Australia presents a comprehensive review of current HIV management.
The symposium also aims to stimulate debate through a series of panel discussions on issues such as whether we should treat everyone to control the HIV epidemic. In 2010, more than 750 participants from Thailand, Asian Pacific region, Europe and America attended the symposium.
The objectives of the three days symposium are to provide physicians, health care workers and the community from Thailand and countries in the region with a comprehensive review of the management of HIV infection and opportunistic infections, the latest updates on research into HIV treatments and vaccines and efforts to improve access to therapy. World class international and local speakers present plenary sessions and facilitate interactive workshops. In 2010, 750 participants from seventeen countries (Thailand, Lao, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Australia, USA, Switzerland, Belgium).
