iSIM - IMPROVING INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS is a 3-day immersive program, was developed by the University of Miami Gordon Center and WISER at the University of Pittsburgh as an introduction to the fundamental skills and abilities for delivering simulation-based healthcare education through a variety of techniques and technologies. The course emphasizes hands-on activities and active participation to maximize simulation-based instruction skill acquisition. The course is open to all medical professionals interested in improving their simulation-based instructional skills and is targeted at those with a background in healthcare education.

REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY Online registration at www.gcrme.miami.edu. Registration Fee: $1795.00 per person (Group discounts are available) Refunds will be made only if written notice of cancellation is received prior to October 6, 2010. A $100 fee is charged for all refunds. After this date, no refunds will be made. In cases where a course is cancelled due to insufficient registrations, a full tuition refund will be made. Accommodations at The Mutiny Hotel for a one-bedroom suite are at a special rate of $119 per night. Reservations for the UM Gordon Center Group must be completed by October 6, 2010 in order to guarantee this rate and are subject to room availability. The hotel is located in Coconut Grove, a favorite destination for locals and visitors to South Florida. Many shops, cafes, restaurants, and a theater are within walking distance. We will provide transportation to and from The Gordon Center each day.
