"The RESCUE Society (Research Experience of Stem Cells in European Society) is a society dedicated to European stem cell science & education. The society practices a bottom-up democratic system, the invited speakers and topics of interest of the meetings are recommended by volunteered national contacts. The RESCUES had very successful meetings in Basel 2007, in Stockholm 2008. The coming third meeting will be held in UK, 8-9 November 2010, and the topics of focus are embryonic and other stem cells, adult stem cells and tissue specific stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, reprogramming and transdifferentiation. In addition, the society is launching a workshop on “Toward clinical grade products and cells”. The society is encouraging the active participation of academic and industrial organization working in this field."
