The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), in collaboration with The Internet Society, will hold a two-day regional conference in Singapore from 18 – 19 November, 2010. The conference, part of the Internet Society's INET series of regional conferences, will be focused on the evolution of the Internet with the theme "The Internet: Past, Present and Future".

The event will be held at the Hilton Hotel and Mr Girija Pande, Chairman, Asia-Pacific, Tata Consultancy Services, will give the keynote address on The Future of Cloud Computing.

INET Singapore will bring together regional and international policy and technical experts, government, network operators, the private sector and the user community to discuss and deliberate the current state of play of the Internet. The conference will discuss the current Internet, and how its use and value has evolved since being made available to the general public. It will highlight some of the challenges and opportunities as the Internet scales towards a user base of 2 billion and beyond, including some of the emerging issues, which could affect Internet use and growth.
