Computer Simulation and Troubleshooting of Reciprocating Compressors - PEICE
Venue: Calgary
Event Date/Time: Mar 10, 2011 | End Date/Time: Mar 11, 2011 |
Description
Overview
This 2–day course is designed for technicians, engineers, and experienced maintenance and operations staff with computer skills and a good working knowledge of reciprocating compressor operations. The course will use existing commercial software to simulate and optimize existing compressor performance. The software will provide participants with an understanding of how to model any common reciprocating compressor. During the first day, participants will learn how to use the software, and will be provided with several simple systems to model, including the generation and interpretation of results and identification of some common errors. Emphasis will be placed on real life solutions and problems, and the impact in term of capital costs, operating costs, and compressed volumes. On the second day, participants will be presented with a series of more difficult problems, and classroom demonstrations of their solutions shall be provided. Potential opportunities to identify and solve efficiency issues shall be discussed. During the latter part of the second day, participants will be given the opportunity to create models of systems they are familiar with. Several of these models will be presented to the class, and the results and opportunities discussed. Participants will be required to bring their own laptop computer to the course, and to download the software here before the course.
A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.
