End Date/Time: Jan 14, 2010
New transmission projects are currently being planned and built to accommodate increasing demand and the need to bring new and different types of generation online. For a variety of reasons - most driven by public involvement - many utilities now must consider installing underground transmission, even though its cost traditionally has been many times that of overhead transmission, and UT maintenance and repair has proved costly and difficult. Going underground with transmission is not usually a transmission owner's first choice, but it is often necessary in order to get a project sited and built.
This conference will feature case studies of underground transmission projects that have been built in different environments and utilize a variety of designs, installation techniques, and cables and other equipment. These case studies cover the projects from start to finish and include the utility, engineering, construction, and cable perspectives.
The Early Bird price for this conference is USD $1,195.00.
After January 13, 2011 the price will be USD $1,395.00.
