In a global and interconnected economy of the 21st century, innovation management and creativity are two important aspects for enterprise sustainability and survival. An organisation’s competitive advantage depends on the ability of its people, processes, and systems to manage innovation and become more creative. Creative and innovative human capital are the core components of an innovation-driven economy which would yield higher income in the future. The transformation challenge into an innovation-driven economy is not only about changing the mindsets; it is also focusing on new levels of transparency and visibility in how businesses are managed.

The Conference is to provide a premier forum for both researchers and practitioners for exchanges of creative and innovative ideas, approaches and strategies, and to learn from each other. In addition to the official program, there is plenty of opportunity for informal discussions and networking opportunities.

Indeed, the theme of the Conference, “Innovation and Creativity in Management: Issues, Opportunity and Challenges”, is very apt and timely as Malaysia is in its transition to a new economic model based on innovation, creativity and high income nation.
