Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend and participate in the “EUROPEAN BIOTECHNOLOGY CONGRESS 2011” which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, between 28th September and 1st October. We welcome all scientists and practitioners from academia and industry working in different fields of biotechnology to share and discuss the latest advances and issues.

The congress is hosted by President of European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) and Turkish Society of Medical Genetics and aims to provide you with high quality scientific program covering a wide range of topics in biotechnology.

Istanbul was chosen as the city of venue for this event. It is the only city in the world built on two continents, Europe and Asia, and this is reflected in the atmosphere of the city where a number of different cultures, civilizations and religions meet. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and has a history of over 2500 years. The city stands on the shores of the Bosphorous where the Black Sea mingles with the Sea of Marmara and the Golden Horn. As being one of the world's most beautiful and historical cities.Istanbul provides a preferred venue for many international organizations.

We hope you will enjoy our scientific as well as social program and your stay in Istanbul.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Istanbul in September 2011.
Sincerely yours,

Prof. Fabrizio Bruschi
Honorary President of the Congress
President of European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA)

Prof. Munis Dundar President of the Congress
