Effective Credit Risk Management for Financial Institutions (Meeting Client Deman)
Venue: JW Marriott Hotel
|Event Date/Time: Jan 24, 2011||End Date/Time: Jan 25, 2011|
The Global Financial Crisis and the subsequent response from Government, Shareholders, Boards and Regulators have focused renewed attention on credit risk management in banks and financial institutions. Organizational Structures, Business Models, and Policies and Processes are all under review in financial institutions, both large and small, across the globe.
Every bank and financial institution faces both common and unique sets of challenges in managing credit risk across their respective commercial lending portfolios. There is an identified need to introduce (or enhance existing) risk appetite setting and reviewing, to improve portfolio reporting and management of credit exposures, to improve the early identification of deterioration in a portfolio, and to strengthen and institutionalize a sound risk culture.
The two day workshop is designed to give senior level management and key decision makers insights into the latest thinking and techniques for the effective measurement, reporting and management of credit risk. The focus is very much on a holistic approach to credit risk, rather than solely on quantitative analysis and credit models.
The workshop also covers recent developments in Risk Governance, Risk Appetite Setting and Risk Culture.
