Description

The global market for ISR systems and technology is estimated to grow to over $30bn over the next ten years. In particular, the growth of the UAV sector continues apace with the USA still by far the largest operator but with an explosion of activity as over 50 countries look to acquire or develop their own platforms. Indeed, manned air surveillance platforms also continue to be developed and programmes like ASTOR in the UK, NATO's AWACS programme, and JSTARS upgrades in the USA are high value projects, crucial to ISR, which are shaping the future of combat, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

It is crucial that the information gathered through systems such as from radar, traditional optics through to ALSM (laser swath mapping) is accurately analysed, integrated and disseminated to those who actually need it - troops and commands on the ground.

Defence IQ's Air Surveillance and Reconnaissance, now in it's 8th successive year, binds all these component parts together with an interactive approach, to ensure ISR platforms, technology and interoperability can be showcased by properly addressing the link between ISR requirements management and what it means for the soldier in theatre or on operations.

More precisely, by attending Air Surveillance and Reconnaissance 2011 , you will:
• Learn from a comprehensive 360° examination of current and future Air ISR procurement priorities from around the world, including the Eurohawk, MC12, King Air, CP140 and Griffen. Examine how these platforms offer commands on the ground the timely and accurate information they need for all ground operations
• Take home exclusive insight into where existing military Air ISR platforms can be integrated through both platform specific and independent software and solutions – and through developing standards in both radar and optics technologies. This will include developments for information exploitation, maximisation of data analysis and data formatting
• Participate in interactive NATO led panel discussions on both the future of UAVs and the question of ISR integration. These sessions will facilitate a freer and more candid discussion of the future challenges facing those in the Air ISR community
• Have the opportunity to benchmark your capabilities next to international Air ISR procurement and through life managers: Network with major Air ISR leaders from: the US, India, Brazil, Germany and the UK amongst others
