Description
In the first nine months of 2010, China’s commercial vehicle production and sales reached 3.20 million and 3.24 million units respectively.
However, with China IV diesel emissions standards for on-road heavy-duty vehicles due to be implemented on July 11, there are still a number of challenges ahead. This includes the poor availability of low sulphur content diesel fuel across China, which remains a major contributor to the countries high pollution levels.
Non-road vehicles have their own targets to achieve – CN Stage III – and it is important that the legislation is understood before effective strategy planning can take place.
The 4th Diesel Emissions Conference Asia 2011 is well placed to tackle these obstacles in time for the China IV deadline. It will facilitate real discussion on the future of diesel emissions in Asia, and provide important information for the entire supply chain – from fleets to truck, engine and emissions control manufacturers.
