90 pilot projects of Smart Grid have been worldwide implementing, and the other about 90 Smart Grid projects are under planning. In 2010, Investment to Smart Grid development reached USD 7.1 Billon on US market; European countries invested billions of USD into Smart Grid projects. In Asia Pacific Region, USD 36,000 million was invested to support Smart Grid development in Australia, pilot projects is been implementing in Japan, Korea and India, large-scale grid upgrading is implementing in Russia. Meanwhile, in order to support national low carbon economy development strategy and efficient energy saving technology promotion, China invests about USD 7.3 billion in construction of “Unified and Strong Smart Grid”. According to SGCC’s plan, “Unified and Strong Smart Grid” project will move in to a new stage of full-fledged construction, which will bring USD 4,000 billion market opportunity to domestic and international industry players.
International Smart Grid Congress Asia 2011 (ISGCA 2011) – Asia’s Top-level Smart Grid Event will be held on 10th to 13th May 2011 in Beijing China, which is the most attractive hotspot city for world Smart Grid Industry in 2011. ISGCA 2011 will be committed to gather over 400 industry leaders from governments, regulators, industrial associations and organizations, utilities, telecom companies, ICT companies, leading equipment and solution providers, banks and consultants, altogether to deeply discuss hot issues in Asian Smart Grid progress, such as policy, regulatory frameworks, standardization, worldwide pilot and deployment projects, AMI/AMR, ADO, ATO, AMM, UHV transmission, transmission, substation and distribution automation, ICT technology, integration of renewable energy, V2G and G2V, Microgrid, cyber security, smart building and smart home, etc. Furthermore, ISGCA 2011 will especially focus on the ongoing “Unified and Strong Smart Grid” project deployment in China.
