COURSE OBJECTIVES

After participating in this course, the attendee should be able to:

• Discuss the significance and etiologies of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
-Apply current and future risk stratification strategies.
-Describe the indications for Implantable Defibrillator (ICD) Therapy; including pros and cons.
-Assess the role of antiarrhythmia drug therapy in the prevention and treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
-Identify the co-existing disease states and the associated risk of Sudden Cardiac Arrest
-Formulate and/or implement strategies for diagnosing, treating, and/or referring patients with Sudden Cardiac Arrest 

TARGET AUDIENCE
The program’s target audience will include primary care physicians, cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, emergency medical technicians and other healthcare professionals with an interest in arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Arrest prevention.
