The Microfinance Society (Singapore), in accordance to its mission to provide a common platform to network & share knowledge for general public interest in microfinance, is proud to present “ Mapping The Microfinance Landscape Seminar- An overview of the Industry Growth Drivers & Likely Future Trends,” where eminent leaders from Microfinance Industry will address a select gathering on 26th January 2011 in Singapore.

Speaker Profile :
1) Syed Mohsin Ahmed CEO Pakistan Microfinance Network : Syed Mohsin Ahmed, CEO of the Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN), has worked in the microfinance sector for the last ten years. PMN is is an association of MFB and MFI and its 27 members represent 95-98% of the industry with a combined outreach of 2M borrowers, 2.5M depositors and approx 3M insurance policy holders. He also sits on the Board of South Asia Microfinance Network and was recently elected as Chairman of the BoD’s of SAMN.In his presentation he will be covering the key headline risk the agency faces & the way forward based on Pakistani experience.
2) Mr Suresh K. Krishna Managing Director Grameen Financial Services : Mr. S K Krishna, a developmental professional since 1997, is a veteran in the microfinance sector. Besides being the MD of Grameen Financial Services, he also serves on the board of SADHAN and is the chairman of Microfinance Focus.The focus of his presentation will be issues facing MF industry and Changes in the near future: regulatory changes, new financial services, client protection and multiple borrowing.
3) Ms Elizabeth Larson, Regional Manager, MIX : Ms Elizabeth Larson has a background in microfinance and asia, having worked with Oxfam’s Saving for Change program, Mercy Corps’ South Asia Programs, and the Microfinance Innovation Centre for Resources and Alternatives (MICRA) in Jakarta, Indonesia. At MIX, she oversees a team of analysts and ensures quality coverage of outreach and financial data from Asian MFIs.She will be speaking about the state of Microfinance in Asia, and the growth and performance the sector has seen.
