OVERVIEW: Create a classroom with character and make a difference in the lives of the children you encounter. A childâ€™s mind should only be filled with goodness. Play an active part in that developing stage of a childâ€™s life. Keep close to heart the following and be led to create your classroom with character.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
â€¢ Recognise and define the importance of character education in the classroom and in the context of the teacherâ€™s role
â€¢ Identify and use appropriate, positive and motivating language
â€¢ Be a goal setter and make the commitment to be the change so as to influence others with the right attitude
METHODOLOGY: Through the world of drama, stories and active participation, participants will be encouraged and guided to understand the importance of looking at educating children with a heart of passion, commitment and love in their classroom.
TARGET AUDIENCE: The workshop is specially designed for all educators of early childhood and lower primary age children that would like to discover how they can inject the excitement of self-discovery in the lessons they plan, teach or produce. Teachers who hope to leave a lasting impression on the children to be individuals with integrity and respect will find this workshop beneficial.
