Description

OVERVIEW

Sponsored research presents responsibilities and obligations often distinctly different from those arising during the philanthropic process. Only mixed results – at best – are probable if the two funding opportunities are pursued similarly.

Join us online to learn how obtaining private support differs from sponsored research and be more successful in obtaining donor patronage. You will consider the differences in:

* Expectations
* Outcomes
* Timelines
* Responsibilities

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Advancement professionals working with academic colleagues will learn how to communicate differences in the philanthropic process versus sponsored research. Stakeholders (especially faculty) pursuing philanthropy will learn these differences and how to meet their obligations once they obtain private support. We strongly encourage advancement professionals and academics to attend as a team.
