Edgewood Center for Children and Families presents Edgewood Forum on Family: “Family Resilience” on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the South San Francisco Conference Center. This full-day conference and luncheon is a powerful learning collaborative for service providers, educators, health professionals, policy makers, parents, and caregivers collectively interested in solution-focused strategies for addressing family resilience.

This year, we will feature notable keynote speaker William Madsen, Ph.D., author of Collaborative Therapy for Multi-Stressed Families and founder of Family Centered Services project. Our dynamic series of break-out sessions will examine the resilience of families confronted with domestic violence, learning disabilities, and chronic illness. Other topics include advocating for children in the school environment, creating a map to guide conversations for families in crisis, and LGBTQ family dynamics.

Participants will qualify for 5 continuing education units (CEUs) and have the opportunity to learn about the latest research effecting childhood development, exchange ideas and strategies, mobilize resources, and come together to best serve the lives of the children, families and communities we support.

Admission to Forum on Family is $175 per person or a discounted rate of $1,350 for groups of ten. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and free parking. You can view complete conference details and register online at http://www.edgewood.org/forum2010.html. If you have questions, or would like to purchase discounted group tickets please contact Daniel L. Smith, Sr. Fundraising Events Manager at (415) 682-3201 or events@edgewood.org. We hope to see you there.
