*** Competitions ***

The IMAV 2011 has two indoor competitions and one outdoor competition. All competitions have a scoring mechanism that especially rewards the use of multiple and autonomous MAVs. Please note that only autonomous flight and video-based flight are allowed in the competitions: manual flight via RC is only allowed as a tech demo of a novel MAV platform / concept. The rules and scoring mechanisms are announced on the IMAV website:

--- Borrowing a drone ---

Parrot has made it possible for the IMAV organization to lend drones to teams that wish to focus on the artificial intelligence / software part of the competitions. See for the procedure for applying for a drone.

--- Important dates for the competitions ---

Teams should be registered at least one month before the conference starts. There are no hard deadlines for the application for a Parrot AR Drone. However, it is important to note that COMPETITION PLACES AND PARROT AR DRONES ARE LIMITED. The online team registration will be stopped when the maximum number of participants is reached. The same goes for the Parrot AR Drones.
