The purpose of this program is to provide an overview of opportunities for the use of simulation in healthcare academic and practice settings
Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, Academic Nursing and Healthcare Faculty, Simulation Lab Coordinators, and Healthcare Professionals interested in simulation.
Overall Program Objectives:
1. Discuss key aspects of creating scenarios that can be used with the human patient simulator, with standardized patients, with hybrid simulation and with task trainers.
2. Discuss how to effectively incorporate simulation into healthcare education and the academic curriculum.
3. Review important aspects of feedback and debriefing.
4. Describe how to design and effectively manage simulation centers in a variety of settings.
Earn up to 23.75 Contact Hours by attending the two pre-conference workshops and the main conference.
This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 23.75 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit from the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Total number of approved credits yet to be determined.
