With the rapid modernisation of Asian countries, the construction industry is bound for prosperous times. A large amount of capital from both government and the private sector has and is forecasted to continue to spent on civil, infrastructure, leisure, energy, and resources projects. As construction projects become increasingly complex, the demand for specialist lifting equipment and services has never been stronger.

However, as a highly globalised industry, numerous regional safety regulations and practices are required for safer implementation and usage of cranes. This impacts contractors, rental companies as well as crane manufacturers. Coupled with safety, one of the core industry issues is the indentified costs of crane ownership and low equipment utilization remains a key industry challenge which significantly impacts the return on investment.

Asia Crane Submit 2011 is a collaborative forum that is set to take place in Singapore, 24 & 25 May 2011, and will bring together construction companies, crane rental companies and crane manufacturers to help the industry to learn:

- Best practices in safety control strategies to maximise crane operation
- Optimising, planning, resources and communicate better for more efficient crane operation
- Effectively investment in crane infrastructure to ensure effective planning and financing
