The birthplace of the modern notariat, Bologna is one of Italy's most beautiful cities - in the opinion of many, second only to Venice. It is home to Europe's oldest University and to Italy's finest cuisine.
On 1st, 2nd and 3rd September 2011, we will be holding our Conference in Bologna. With the enthusiastic support of the Comune di Bologna, some of the most magnificent facilities in Italy have been made available to us to stage this once in a lifetime event.
The 2011 Bologna Conference - "Towards a Closer Understanding", initially will focus on learning about and relating to the civil law notariat and its customs and practices.
We will also have important working sessions on common law customs and practices and the challenges of the future which face us all.
