An Indian Dental Association Initiative
The World Dental Show 2011 (WDS) is an initiative of the Indian Dental Association (IDA). IDA is the authoritative voice of dental professionals in India, dedicated to dental excellence, that has been growing from strength to strength over the last six decades.
WDS is one of the world's largest annual dental exhibitions. This year WDS 2010 is scheduled to be held in Mumbai from 29 - 31 October, 2010 and it promises to be a highly focused and specifically designed dental-business event showcasing a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art products, services and innovative technologies that cater to the dental profession around the globe.
Mumbai being the financial capital, is the ideal city to host WDS 2011 which will be an enterprising meeting hub for decision-makers attracting 20,000 dental professionals, academicians, scientists, clinicians, research workers, 290 dental institutions, trade, 9 specialty dental associations, more than 200 manufacturers and more than 3000 dental laboratories, as well as policy makers from the Indian Government and allied health professionals from all over the Asian region under the ubiquitous IDA umbrella.
nternational exhibitors who have participated in the past 63 national annual conferences, 4 international APDF-CDA and the World Dental Congress expressed the innate desire that IDA should have regular dental exhibitions held at one location so that they can meet potential visitors and distributors and showcase their innovative products, equipments and instruments to explore and understand the need to build loyalty and brand image to their products, on a regular basis, and to build a strong customer base.
With its vast experience and invaluable contribution to the dental profession and oral health of the public, IDA has now drawn up a plan to organise the WDS on a regular basis at a fixed location which had to be the most central place accessible to the international exhibitors and visitors.
Keeping in mind this yardstick in mind and the projected demand for dental equipment and products, IDA has set about the task of preparing for the World Dental Show in Mumbai.
This event will provide a unique platform to companies and organizations in the oral healthcare industry to gain a futuristic understanding of the Indian dental industry and thereby enhance market potential for their products in India.
