Conference Assumptions

The economy of 21st century is commonly considered to be the economy of knowledge treated as a unique economic resource of an enterprise. Information revolution and the growing significance of intangible assets have become attributes of so-called “new economy”, namely economy based on knowledge and innovative technologies. At the same time, continuously increasing turbulent character of the economic environment and the growing importance of the intellectualization of economic processes enforces the necessity to look for new management tools to improve effectiveness of management and cope with the requirements of competition. Progressing economic, social and political integration processes which conduce developing openness of markets entail very dynamic growth of competition. Increasing intensity of these activities forces market participants to constantly search for active ways of building and consolidating competitive advantage in individual sectors of economy and within areas of enterprise management, such as: finance and accounting, marketing, human resources, production and the research and development sphere. It creates a need for development and improvement of diverse instrumentation of management, including the use of IT tools and quantitative methods.
It should be emphasized that in spite of continuously increasing role of relations between individual entities, which is favoured by the process of consolidation and standardization of lifestyles and tastes, individual countries and nations still maintain their specificity resulting from historic, social and cultural conditionings. Due to that fact, success and effectiveness of multinational and multicultural cooperation to a great extent depend on mutual understanding and trust which are not possible without getting to know each other.
We believe that the accomplishment of this objective will be possible through the exchange of opinions and experiences on activity of enterprises and economies, and the conference session will enable an analysis and a view at contemporary problems from various perspectives, which will be possible by learning more on local conditions and undertaken activities, and, as a consequence, further development of mutual cooperation and bonds.
