The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) and Phil-World Gateway (PWG) would like to invite local planning and development coordinator and national agencies planning officers as well as other key planning, zoning, land use, project evaluation, housing, environment, tourism, investment, economic, climate change and disaster officials and personnel of municipalities, cities and provinces to attend the Environmental Planning Capability Building Course on May 17-21, 2011 at the Leyte Park Hotel and/or University of the Philippines in the Visayas-Tacloban College, Magsaysay Boulevard, Tacloban City, a seminar-training-workshop enrolled with DILG-LGAâ€™s Biyaheng Pinoy Program in commemorating 20 years of Philippine local autonomy.
Participants will be equipped with the basic knowledge on the history, evolution, theories, concepts, tools, strategies, principles, processes, scope, laws, regulations and profession of Environmental Planning under PD 1308 including RA 7160â€™s mandated comprehensive development plan and comprehensive land use plan under the context of the rationalized planning system, and to refresh incumbent planning officials and practitioners. Interested and qualified participants may also take the licensure examination to be undertaken by the Professional Regulation Commission on June 14-15, 2011 for a chance to be added in the roll of over 600 licensed/registered Environmental Planners and in preparation for the professionalization of local and national planning positions in the government.
Registration fee is PhP 13,500.00 inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon snacks, dorm-type hotel accommodation, kit, certificates, etc., with limited slots on a pre-registered, first-come, first-serve basis. Live-out registration fee is PhP 9,500.00.
