ST. PAUL, Minn. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 21, 2011 — The Society of Concurrent Product Development (SCPD) announced its upcoming Conference to be held in the St. Paul area on June 28-29. SCPD: http://www.scpdnet.org/ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the dissemination of the latest knowledge on Concurrent Product Development. Our technology base is particularly valuable to companies trying to learn from the trials and tribulations and the ultimate resolutions experienced by companies that have successfully implemented "Concurrent Product Development," or as it is sometimes known, "Concurrent Engineering". We promote the integration of Strategy, People, Process, Tools & Technology as the most effective means of reducing time-to-market, quality issues, redesign and cost over-runs while introducing new innovations into the marketplace.
This day and a half Conference features speakers from industry and academia who will describe the benefits of Concurrent Innovation (Concurrency) in all aspects of R&D and Product Development. As a nonprofit, SCPD is able to bring these quality speakers together at a very reasonable rate of $375 for non-SCPD members registering before April 29, 2011.

There are many methods which are enhanced by taking a Concurrent approach and integrating the whole. This is significant when R&D accounts for 10-20% of annual productivity gains in the USA, typically averaging 2.3% growth per year. We proudly offer this conference on the premise that Concurrent Engineering and Concurrent Product Development are an integral part of that productivity growth. Concurrency (CPD) is the Guiding Principle of Innovation!
