Overview:
Armed forces within the Asia Pacific region have seen a steady increase in defence budgets in recent years. Regional powers such as India and China are in the midst of renewing their airlift fleets, both to acquire new capabilities and to replace ageing equipment. With two of the world’s three largest air forces – India and China – situated in Asia Pacific, there is no limit to the indigenous development programmes that may emerge from the region within the coming decades.
It is against this backdrop that SMi proudly presents its first annual Military Airlift Asia Pacific conference and exhibition which will be held in Singapore on the 13th & 14th July 2011. This event will bring together the most influential regional and international players from within the airlift community to discuss issues ranging from procurement to current and future requirements, operational realties and civil-military interoperability.
Key themes for discussion include country specific airlift requirements from key Asian nations, MEDIVAC operations, humanitarian operations, multi role tanker transport (MRTT) and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO).
The Military Airlift Asia conference taking place on the 13th & 14th July 2011 will run parallel to a vibrant exhibition where vendors will have the opportunity to showcase their latest products, technology and solutions for the airlift community.
