Faculty members, administrators, government officials, community and business/industry representatives, and others involved in STEM education and information technology are invited to explore research, best practices, and other ideas with their colleagues from around the world.

Highlighted for the 2012 STEMtech conference are sessions about implementing STEM education in a manner that reflects the interdependence of STEM subjects, as well as sessions about partnerships involving school districts, community colleges, four-year institutions, and business and industry to provide a comprehensive community-based approach to STEM education.

The League for Innovation has arranged for a discounted conference rate at the Sheraton Crown Center and the Westin Crown Center for STEMtech conference participants. Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, the Crown Center is often called a city within a city. Three levels of great shopping and dining complement two of the city’s most luxurious hotels, exquisite office buildings, a residential community, and several entertainment attractions. Mention the League for Innovation in the Community College STEMtech conference when making your reservation to secure a room in the conference block. There are a limited number of guestrooms available at the discounted conference rate. The cut-off date for accepting reservations into the discounted room block is Friday, October 5, 2012.
