Real-time PCR technology is an essential technique in every molecular biology lab since it allows for sensitive, accurate and high-throughput method applicable in various areas of life sciences, from pathogen or GMO determination and quantification, gene expression studies, genotyping etc. If you haven't mastered it yet, here's your chance. The hands-on 3.5-day Boot Camp is suitable for absolute qPCR beginners and will cover qPCR theory, practical guidance on sample preparation and RNA quality control, amplicon design, quality assurance as well as hands-on lab and data analysis sessions. Instructors, all experienced researchers and users of qPCR technology, will also be available for discussions.

Boot Camp will focus on real-time PCR gene expression but will also briefly cover qPCR's other applications such as in vitro diagnostics, genotyping and gDNA detection and quantification.
The workshop is organised in collaboration with National Institute of Biology. The lectures as well as hands-on lab sessions will take place at the Marine Biological Station (MBS) in Piran, situated directly on the Mediterranean coast.

Join us in September and tame the knowledge of real-time PCR in a lovely, relaxing and energetic environment of an old coastal town of Piran, a pearl of Slovenian coast.
