Annual Forum looks forward to how reorganization, restructuring and turnaround industries are changing in the light of rising equity markets, stabilized credit and lending markets and growing consumer confidences. As before, the Forum to bring together best minds from the industry to share insights and harvest ideas on what are the restructuring and turnaround strategies for the “new normal” economic recovery.
VOTE & WIN: Through-out the Forum, the attendee is given survey questions that they can vote on and express their opinions. At the end of each “VOTE & WIN” session, one winner of the surprise prize is selected randomly by the managing editor of dealmaker SPOTLIGHT. Winner is announced and must be present to accept their prize.

TURNAROUND ATLAS AWARDS honors
Top Deals, Influential Executives, and A-list Firms,
from the special situation M&A transactions, restructuring, reorganizations and the turnaround communities, world-wide.
STANDARDS: What are the eligibility rules to compete?
Deals and assignments must be closed in the time frame February 2010 to February 2011.
Proof of attendance: Nominees must confirm attendance at the Awards Gala Ceremony to be seriously considered during the winner selection process.
NOMINATIONS: How to become a finalist?
OPEN: Nominations: Any industry professional is able to enter nomination on behalf of their firm, colleague, client or peer from the industry. There are no fees to nominate and all nominations are reviewed promptly.
INVITED: Short lists of top finalists are nominated by Global M&A Network committee based on eligibility standards and performance criteria. Nominees are informed and invited.
WINNERS: How are winners selected and how are they honored?
SELECTION: Winners are selected from list of finalist based on “performance” criteria determined by independent awards advisory group. Deal/assignment is evaluated for each award category, and the highest score is considered a “winner”. Firm and executive/deal teams awards are logically determined from group of top ranked deals among additional attributes.
HONORS: Winners are revealed for the 1st time at the awards gala ceremony. They are honored by receiving a trophy from the master of ceremonies, in company of their colleagues, clients and peers from the industry.
Proof of Attendance: Required for the winner selection process.
(1) REGISRATION/BOOKINGS: Individual or Corporate Tables.
(2) FORUM SPEAKER: Invited speakers at the Forum, also must attend gala.
(3) FORUM SPONSOR: Per sponsor benefits, attend gala ceremony.
NEW: WINNERS CIRCLE SUPPLEMENT: Editorial elaborates on deal/assignment winners; profiles dealmaker/team recipients and illuminates noteworthy transactions completed by the firm honorees. A free electronic PDF copy of the supplement is made available only to the sponsors of the Forum and attendee guests at the awards gala.
Supplement is also available on-line by request.
WINNER RECOGNITION POLICY:
(i) AWARDS GALA and CEREMONY: “Winners” are revealed and honored at the awards gala ceremony.
“DEAL” and “FIRM”, awards nominee and/or their representatives must confirm “proof of attendance” and be present at the gala ceremony. “INDUSTRY EXECUTIVE” awards, the individual nominee--award recipient must attend to be officially honored and recognized at the ceremony.
(ii) DEAL AWARDS RECOGNITION POLICY: “It is the DEAL/ASSIGNMENT that WINS” …
Naturally each deal has multiple advisors and following is the policy for trophy presentation:
(1) Trophy presented to corporate or private equity firm; followed by
(2) Trophy presented to primary legal or financial advisor per nomination entered or as invited; followed by
(3) Multiple nominations received. Only primary deal advisors with confirmed proof of attendance are recognized.
(iii) WINNERS RECOGNITION: Global M&A Network issues the official WINNERS CIRCLE release which includes the recipient of the trophy(ies), and acknowledges deal teams attending the awards gala. Firms that do not confirm “proof of attendance” are not considered winners and cannot claim to have won without the written consent of Global M&A Network organization. Additionally beginning in 2011, the WINNERS CIRCLE SUPPLEMENT will elaborate on the winner/attendees.
