The field of education management and leadership is getting more challenging. Educational institutions, from preschool to tertiary levels, face various challenges in this globalization era. These educational institutions require changes and innovations to sustain their competitive advantage. The excellence of an organization strongly relied on the dynamism of the management and leadership, as well as their responsiveness toward its environment.

The successful leadership depends on the ability of the leader to transform the human capital which supports the organization. Besides effective planning, organizational learning is among the prerequisites to ensuring managerial and leadership success. Hence, fostering the learning culture is utmost important in the light of present and future challenges.

APCEMaL 2011, encompasses two disciplines, namely Educational Management and Leadership, and Learning , is a platform for those issues to be discussed within an interdisciplinary approach and the conference is also an opportunity for sharing of ideas.
