By the end of March 2010, 172 ETFs have been listed in Asia Pacific (Except Japan), and managed USD 41.5 billion.
Meanwhile, in 2010 as the year for business innovation on Chinaâ€™s capital market defined by the Shanghai Stock Exchanges, Index tracking mutual funds and ETFs achieve Explosive growth in China depending on her exclusive investment characteristic. Since Chinaâ€™s first ETF listed in 2004, and in 2007 5 ETFs listed, 13 ETFs in 2010, there are about 20 ETFs being planned to issue in 2011 on Shanghai Stock Exchange, and 40 in 2012. Furthermore, some new progress are stimulating the rapid growth of ETFs in China, Chinaâ€™s first Cross-listing ETF is planned to be issued within 2011, and Gold ETFs has also been one of the important issues on China Indexing and ETF investment market in 2011.
