Call for Papers

The explosive growth in the telecom sector, especially in the Emerging Economies, coupled with rapid innovations is throwing up not merely technological but a whole lot of management, regulatory and socio economic challenges. The solution to these problems can emerge from dialogue between researchers, industry practitioners, government and regulatory bodies.

IIMA Idea Telecom Centre of Excellence, at Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad, in collaboration with the International Telecommunications Society is pleased to announce the first regional conference in India on

Telecom Policy, Regulations and Management as Drivers for Transforming Emerging Economies

The objective of the conference is to:

• Provide a special forum to present and discuss research and development in telecom policy, regulation and management, specially related to Emerging Economies
• Facilitate sharing research based knowledge amongst academician and practitioners on several areas in telecommunications
• Promote promising scholars in the field of telecommunications

The conference has the following tracks:

• National Broadband Policy and Outcomes
• Regulation
• Comparative Analysis • Spectrum and Technology
• Service Adoption, Social Networking
• Universal Service
• Other Issues

Call for Panel Proposals

The program chairs seek submissions for Panels to be presented at the conference. Specifically, panel proposals should directly address the conference theme otherwise they will not be considered for selection. Additionally, panel organizers should strive to bring in diversity of perspective. Each panel is to be composed of a discussant and a minimum of three and maximum of four panelists.
