1. To provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, experience and lessons learned for practitioners and researchers involved in the field of preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters.
2. To promote international networking between health care professionals in the fields of preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters.
3. To enhance international research collaboration in the field of emergency and disaster medicine and public health preparedness.
The IPRED scientific committee invites professionals interested in the various aspects of preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters to submit abstracts of papers for presentation at the conference. Proposals for oral or poster presentations are welcome. Please submit your abstracts through the IPRED web-site.

Based on our experience from IPRED I, the following professionals are expected to attend: Participants from the civilian and
military domains, government and non-governmental agencies involved in the delivery of health care, and interface agencies
involved in preparedness and response for emergencies and disasters. Professionals who would benefit from the conference
are amongst others: physicians, nurses, Emergency Medical Services personnel, administrative personnel, police, environmental
protection agencies and rescue and fire services.
The conference program will include:
Renowned international keynote speakers, plenary sessions; paper presentation; panel discussions; workshops;
poster presentations; relevant professional exhibitions; networking sessions as well as a regional large-scale drill planned
by the Ministry of Health and Home Front Command, in which the participants will be involved, as observers or evaluators.
