Objective of the Conference
The term “Energy” has assumed a crunch role in the overall development of any country as a whole. In the current scenario of energy generation, deployment and management a lot of new and innovative ideas are emanating from research carried all over across the world. It is imperative that a focussed platform for disseminating ideas related to energy be made available for the researchers. In consideration of this, the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering has initiated this step to gather the common interest of people working in the field of energy in this conference. This conference therefore provides a platform for energy related issues in all fields of engineering endeavour and hence is truly multidisciplinary.
The following areas have been especially chosen to be the key areas of interest.
• Renewable Energy Systems - Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Ocean, Biomass, Tidal etc.
• Fossil Fuel Energy – Issues and Solutions.
• Fuel Cell Technology – State of the Art in Thin Membrane Technology etc.
• Cogeneration and Hybrid Systems for Power Generation.
• Energy Conversion Process -Turbo Machines etc.
• Alternate Energy Sources for IC Engines.
• Energy Conservation Aspects in Manufacturing Technology.
• HVAC – Energy Saving Techniques in Cooling Technology.
• Energy Saving Aspects in Automotive/Manufacturing Systems.
• Energy Conservation in Tribological Phenomenon in Friction and Wear.
• Thermal Cladding and Insulation for Saving Energy.
• Energy Conservation in Electrical Devices and Systems such as Generators and Motors.
• Energy Conservation in Electrical Transmission, Distribution and Storage Systems.
• Energy Storage Systems.
• Energy Estimations, Auditing and Management System.
• Best Practices in Energy Conservation.
• Policies and Practices in Energy Distribution and Conservation in Industrial and Rural Sectors.
• Energy Savings in Transportation Sectors.
• Efficient Energy Management by Smart System Design.
