Improving Your Student Affairs Assessment Plan
|Event Date/Time: Oct 16, 2011||End Date/Time: Oct 18, 2011|
An exemplary division-wide student affairs assessment plan has five components:
A clear framework connected to larger institutional priorities
Clear and measurable learning outcomes
A method to measure and report these outcomes
A strategy to connect results with broader accountability measures
A method for making improvements based on the data
Join us in San Antonio to learn how you can take your current assessment efforts to the next level. Working with an expert coach, you will leave with a revised or drafted assessment plan and clear next steps to implement your plan back on campus.
Included in your registration fee is a complimentary copy of Demonstrating Student Success: A Practical Guide to Outcomes-Based Assessment of Learning and Development in Student Affairs, an example-rich book that is helpful not only as a personal guide but also as a way to share valuable information with your colleagues.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This event is designed for senior student affairs officers and others coordinating assessment at the division level. Using a hands-on institute format, the conference will combine short segments of content followed by moderated working time. Conference attendees will be assigned to working groups based on their familiarity with assessment.
This conference is ideal for those at the intermediate stages of building a coordinated assessment effort, including those who have learning outcomes in place but might be struggling with measurement and using outcomes-based assessment results to interpret performance indicators.
