Description
NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY FOR GROWTH OF THE NATION
The world needs more energy. A clean, efficient and safe way to get it is through Nuclear Technology. Nuclear Technology the reactions of atomic nuclei. Among nuclear technologies the notable one are Nuclear Power, Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Weapons. It has found applications from smoke detectors to nuclear reactors and from gun sights to nuclear weapons. As the global appetite for electricity grows, atomic power which scarcely pollutes, generates relatively little solid waste is far more efficient than the alternatives. Over the past few years great strides have been made by nuclear engineers and health physicists in the production of radioisotopes that are used for medical diagnostics and treatments. A worldwide effort to develop and share nuclear technology is in all our interests.
The primary objective of the Seminar is to discuss the fundamental aspects of Nuclear Technology and its application to human needs. The Seminar includes Invited talks and plenary lectures on frontier areas of Nuclear Research and its Industrial Applications. Eminent Scientists and Academicians from Premier Atomic research centers and Universities of the country will deliver classic lectures on various topics related to Nuclear Science and Technology. There is special session on ‘Career opportunities in Nuclear Industry’. The Seminar provides a platform for the participants to exchange their ideas and views with experts and explore the emerging trends in nuclear Technology.
