Overview
This one-day course is designed to re-familiarize technical professionals with the design and operation of propane refrigeration loops used in typical NGL recovery and/or hydrocarbon dew point control facilities, with an emphasis on design, troubleshooting and performance optimization. The principles of cryogenic expander operation are briefly discussed. The course is designed primarily for engineers and technologists involved in the design, operation, and optimization of gas processing facilities. Calculators should be brought to the class. A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.

Instructor(s): Dale Kraus, P. Eng.
Dale Kraus earned a Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981. He has held Facility Engineering and Operations Management experience with several major multinational oil companies for 20 years, and, most recently, has been providing consulting services to the Oil & Gas Industry. He has a broad background in Upstream Facilities and Process Engineering, coupled with extensive Operational experience gained in the Field.
