Overview
This two-day course will introduce participants to the ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code. The Code provides requirements for the design, fabrication, examination and testing of metallic piping systems designed for the wide variety of fluid services used in the process industries. Selection of materials, pipe, valves and fittings will be discussed. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the code (not included in course fees) to the session. For interested participants wishing to augment their ASME B31.3 Code knowledge, a 2-day "Advanced ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code " course is typically scheduled immediately following this course (see event calendar for details).

Don Frikken has worked in the process industry for 35 years; working on a wide range of activities including piping and mechanical design, project engineering, and development of engineering standards, specializing in piping design. Don is a member of several ASME committees and is past Chair of the ASME B31.3.
