Arab Health 2012 will highlight the integration between the 11th Middle East Surgery Conference and 2nd Multi-disciplinary Cancer Therapy conference to emphasize on the importance of looking at cancer management as a team work spamming throughout the various hospital departments. The integration will introduce the newly formatted master-classes that will discuss the management of various cancer cases from the best medication options to surgical management.
This will allow for a stronger discussion during the conference, where surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation therapist can discuss and analyze the best suitable treatment methods of complicated cancer cases.
Cancer occurrence in United Arab Emirates has been increasing in the last few decades and cancer patterns are changing rapidly. Cancer is the third leading cause of death in the UAE following cardiovascular diseases and road accidents. As identified by the HAAD Health statistics in 2010, cancer accounts for 15% of death in the UAE in 2009.
