The Silver Anniversary year of FLAIRS takes place at Marco Island on
the exciting and tropical
southwestern coast of Florida. A sunny paradise on the edge of the
Gulf of Mexico, Marco Island
features six miles of beach and over 100 miles of waterways within its
24 square miles. Marco Island is
the largest barrier island within Southwest Florida’s Ten Thousand
Islands and is surprisingly diverse,
with topography that includes high sandhills, slash pine forests,
sandy fields, as well as quartz sand
beaches and mangrove swamps. It is also the only place in Southwest
Florida to see the famous Florida
burrowing owls. May temperature ranges from a low of 66 F (19 C) to a
high of 88 F (31 C) with Gulf
water temperature an average of 82 F (28 C).

January 20, 2012 Paper acceptance notification
February 20, 2012 Camera ready version due

This year, there are three kinds of submissions: full papers (up to 6
pages), short papers (up to 4
pages), and poster abstracts (up to 250 words). Acceptance as a full
paper entails a 20 minute
presentation during a regular session, while short papers and
abstracts will be required to participate in
the poster session. Rejected full papers may still be accepted as
short papers or poster abstracts. All
posters will be presented according to space and time availability.
Authors may submit up to two full
papers as first author, and a maximum of one poster as full author
(whether short paper or poster
abstract). Author names may be changed or re-ordered after reviewing;
however, for budgeting reasons,
registration fees will be based on the details at the time of
submission and review. An author of each
accepted paper is required to register, attend, and present the paper.
It is a requirement of FLAIRS that
there will be at least one early regular author registration per paper.

Submissions must be original, and not submitted concurrently to a
journal or another conference.
Papers must be in AAAI format, and submitted as PDF through the
EasyChair conference system, which
can be accessed through the main conference web site
( The proceedings of
FLAIRS-25 will be published by the AAAI. Authors of accepted papers
will be required to sign a form
transferring copyright of their contribution to AAAI. An author of
each accepted paper is required to
register, attend, and present the paper at FLAIRS. All submissions and
registrations must comply with
FLAIRS requirements as posted on the conference website.
