Description
The aim of sixth meeting of experts in the field of Automation and Control from Slovakia and Czech Republic is to draw attention to modern trends in the branch, to allow experts, teachers and researchers to present the results of their activities, as well as to exchange their experience and establish new contacts among the participants.
Automation is a modern interdisciplinary field integrating several subjects like cybernetics, electrical engineering, informatics and manufacturing technologies. Its aim is to achieve the synergy of effects in the design, production and use of machines, instruments, devices, complex machine structures and products using a combination of knowledge bases from mechanical engineering, electronics, informatics and control. Since automation and control is a part of virtually every advanced technical field, it asks for adequate meeting of requirements imposed by practice through a school program modernisation and appropriate response to the needs dictated by basic and applied research in this field.
