Description

Asia Pacific is a dynamic, fast growing market that is set to accelerate demand for accountancy services and talents. In fact, the Singapore government has announced plans to position the nation as a leading global accountancy hub by 2020. In the next decade, it aims to double the accountancy sector's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contribution from 0.4 percent to 1 percent and expand the export of professional accountancy services to the region from the current 22 percent to 50 percent.

The Singapore Accountancy Convention (SAC) 2011 will therefore seek to explore Singapore’s future development as a global accountancy hub.

Themed "Accountancy Entrepot", the convention will bring together a distinguished line-up of international though leaders, industry experts, policy makers and top decision-makers to discuss key developments and initiatives from global and local perspectives.
