self –assessment and be analyzed by our facilitator who specializes in this area.
2. Commitment to relationships
• To effectively teach students from at –risk backgrounds you must understand where they come from.
• Creating relationships that are based on trust and understanding of each student’s difference will create an environment in you school community that inspires students to want to learn.

• In order to achieve excellence school communities need to establish a common culture that captures the interest of the community.
• In your break out session you will be able to work with your colleagues to assess the current culture of your school and create an action plan that will reestablish a common core value system that can be used immediately to shift the beliefs and views of your students and families.
