Revised from our hugely successful masterclass on outcomes-focused regulation, this masterclass will pick up where the other left off. Giving you the latest information on the current status (at the time of this masterclass) of the SRA's involvement in firms, critical insight in to the application process for the COLP and COFA, analysis of how Alternative Business Structures are being used and an overview of how OFR is changing the management and governance of law firms. Outcomes-focused regulation focuses on the high-level principles and outcomes that are driving the provision of legal services for consumers. It sees the 2007 rulebook replaced with a targeted, risk-based approach concentrating on the standards of service to consumers. There is greater flexibility for firms in how they achieve outcomes for clients. The aim is for a unified approach with the same standards for both traditional law firms and ABSs.
