Department of Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics (Katedra za mehanizaciju), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia together with

Institute for Engineering Design and Logistics Engineering (Institut für
Konstruktionswissenschaften und Technische Logistik, Der Forschungsbereich Konstruktionslehre und Fördertechnik), Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Austria

are going to organize the XX Triennial International Conference on Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics, MHCL2012, which will take place in Belgrade 3-5 October 2012. The first Conference was established 36 years ago, in 1976 by Professor Đorđe Zrnić and up to now it gathered together scientists and researchers from all republics (now independent states) of former SFR Yugoslavia (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, and Republic of Macedonia), as well as from Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Switzerland, UK and USA, working in the field of Material Handling, Conveying Technologies, Constructions and Construction/Mining Machinery, and Technical and Transport Logistics.

The main goal of the Conference is to make the scientific/research exchange between similar academic Departments and Institutes from different countries, as well as individual researcher in the field, in order for possible professional cooperation or to apply for international programs or bilateral research and scientific projects offered by EU or other institutions.

A Conference Proceedings book with ISBN and a CD will be available at the beginning of the Conference and distributed to all registered participants.

Selected papers presented during Conference, after peer review, will be published in the following international journals:

Technical Gazette (IF2010=0,083)
Journal is referred in: The Thomson Reuters services Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch ) and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition INSPEC, Scopus, Geo Abstracts (Civil Engineering, Process Engineering and FLUIDEX) (DIALOG, ESA/IRS), Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA: Metals Abstracts/METADEX, Engineering Materials Abstracts, Ceramic Abstracts, Corrosion Abstracts, and Materials Business FileSteel Alerts), EMBASE, Elsevier Biobase, Elsevier GeoAbstracts, Ei-Compendex, PaperChem.

The Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics (MHCL) Conference is a unique European scientific and professional event offering at least 5 sessions addressing research, development, strategy, best practices, emerging technologies, innovation ideas.

The area of Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics is gaining a new momentum at the beginning of 21st century. Today more then ever before there is a need to readdress many aspects of design, modeling and controlling of complex material handling facilities and systems, construction and earthmoving machinery, and logistic systems in engineering and transport. Modern material handling and logistics systems and machinery employ today advanced technologies that require deep interdisciplinary expertise for successful implementation. At the same time successful integration of technologies and functions require technical and functional breadth. The conference will host a variety of contributed and invited plenary papers. The Conference is to address various interdisciplinary aspects of MHCL areas. Furthermore an emphasis of real applications will be given. Conference MHCL offers a unique opportunity for experts to meet people from different parts of the world and exchange ideas in this highly relevant and exciting field. Come and join with us at MHCL2012, and your participation and contribution will further highlight the success of this great event!
