In an increasingly globalised and competitive world, the critical competitive advantage comes from not only identifying customer needs but also from creating new needs and meeting those needs efficiently and effectively. At this juncture, it is critical to understand what can help the companies to meet the changing demands/ needs of the customers. Management of Innovation and Technology can help the companies in developing and providing new customized solutions to satisfy the changing needs of the customers. Innovation also enables companies to obtain sustainable development in the global competitive world. Further, the tension that exists between innovation and uncertainty has long been recognized. There are many risks that need to be managed in converting original or innovative concepts into innovation: the successful transformation of creative ideas into practical realities.

After successfully conducting three National Conferences on the theme ‘Management of Innovation and Technology’, Galgotias Business School (GBS) is happy to announce the 4th National Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology. The conference will highlight the current thinking and future trends in management of innovation and technology. Representatives from all over the country will attend the event. In addition, the conference will also provide networking opportunities together with a taste of local culture.


The present Conference will deal not only with the management of risk involved in innovation from various viewpoints but also other issues which are required for successful management of innovation and technology. The major objectives of the conference are:

• To provide a special forum to present and discuss various issues in the area of innovation and technology management
• To facilitate sharing research based knowledge among academicians and practitioners in the area of innovation and technology

This will be achieved through multi-disciplinary research-based idea generation and discussions. The attempt is to bring about richness in discussions by encouraging contributions from researchers across academic institutions
