We are happy to invite you to the 10th Israeli Nutrition Week and the American Overseas Dietetic Association (AODA) Regional Conference, which will be held in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Health on June 12-14, 2012 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Since its launch in 2001, the Conference on Preventative Nutrition – Unified Forces has established itself as a unique educational meeting where physicians, dietitians and industry members can meet with outstanding experts in major fields in Nutrition and to be updated on the most pressing clinical and technological questions of the day.

With the new name, The Israeli Nutrition Week, and in collaboration with the AODA, the 10th Conference will continue to bring together national and international nutrition-related bodies, such as governmental institutions, pharmaceutical companies, medical organizations, the food industry and educational institutions.

The AODA is the international affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association), which represents over 700 members from 40 countries outside of the United States, aims to encourage participation from around the world in the Conference in Israel.

As always, we expect large number of participants from Israel, and in 2012, we hope to welcome around 1500 Israeli participants.

The 10th Conference will be devoted to ‘The Mediterranean Diet through the Life Cycle'. The program will include topics that discuss the influence of Mediterranean diet on longevity and different stages in life, women’s health, gastroenterology, and pediatrics. There will be discussions on the preventive effects of Mediterranean Diet on cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes.

In addition, the program will focus on general areas of Nutrition, with presentations on recent scientific research and developments in the food industry, as well as important topics on epidemiology, education, sport, and pediatrics.

The Conference will take place over three days. The first day will be dedicated to workshops, which will take place at various locations around the country, including the markets in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, food manufactures, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, educational and sport institutes, among others. The following two days will be dedicated to presentations from more than 140 speakers, who are leaders in their fields.We hope to see you in 2012 in the beautiful and exciting city of Tel Aviv.
